Bankwest Credit Cards on Offer
Bankwest’s suite of credit cards is broken up into four overarching categories, with 2-3 individual products in each category. See more information below.
Breeze - low rate
The two Breeze cards on offer come with a lower rate than on other Bankwest offerings. This can be useful if you expect to carry a balance from time to time. However they do come with annual fees.
There is a ‘Classic’ card, and a ‘Platinum’ card. The main difference is that the latter comes with complimentary international travel insurance and no foreign transaction fees, and a higher minimum credit limit.
Zero - no annual fee
As the name suggests Zero is the bank’s series of cards with no annual fee. To compromise the rates are slightly higher than on the Breeze products.
Again, these are broken up into ‘Classic’ and ‘Platinum’ products. The latter has a higher minimum limit, and no foreign transaction fees. In late 2024, however, Bankwest made the decision to axe complimentary travel insurance on the Zero Platinum card.
Qantas - earn points
For fans of the flying kangaroo, Bankwest’s Qantas cards could be tempting. Again, these are split up into two different cards: Platinum and World.
The Platinum product has has an earn rate of 0.6 Qantas points per dollar spent up to $2,500, and 0.3 points thereafter. The World’s earn rate is 1 point per dollar up to $5,000 then 0.5 thereafter.
The World has a much higher minimum credit limit and higher annual fee. Both come with complimentary travel insurance and no foreign transaction fees.
Rewards - earn points
If you want to just earn rewards points that aren’t necessarily tied to an airline, Bankwest has its Rewards program. There are three cards in this lineup, with the earn rates below:
-
More Classic: 1.5 points per $1 spent.
-
More Platinum: 2 points per $1 spent.
-
More World: 2.5 points per $1 spent.
The Classic has the lowest minimum credit limit, while the World has the highest, as well as the highest annual fee. In return, World users can get access to 10 complimentary airline lounge passes per year via the Mastercard Travel Pass program.
Both the Platinum and World products have complimentary travel insurance and no foreign transaction fees.
